ASEV is a SAQA-accredited service provider of research-related short courses (SAQA accreditation no:  ETDP 10141)

 

ASEV was founded in 2001. Our initial aim was to develop research and scientific writing skills and to conduct research on a small scale. Our research focus was mainly on the effectiveness of training and development programmes. We have since expanded our services to include all aspects of Programme Monitoring and Evaluation.

 

We are a team of highly qualified and experienced researchers that specialise in programme monitoring and evaluation, as well as research capacity building.

 

 

Capacity building for sustainable programme development and monitoring

Due to concerns around sustainability in development programmes, we have developed a service that focuses on enhancing capacity of existing programme staff for sustainable programme development and monitoring.

 

Research Capacity and Building (RCB):

The demand for graduates who can perform in the knowledge economy characteristic of the global era has highlighted the need for research capacity building.

Development of research and scientific writing skills through training and mentoring, as well as workshops on various aspects of qualitative and quantitavive research. For example:

Programme monitoring and evaluation (PME):

A high premium is currently placed on quality and accountability, especially in the realm of programme provision in organizations. Questions regarding impact and efficiency need to be addressed in order to ascertain whether money that has been invested yields returns, and to provide guidelines for future improvements/refinement of programmes.
